Wisdom Teeth Recovery

Wisdom teeth recovery time will vary from person to person, and largely depends on how far into the gum your dentist had to go to extract the tooth. In some cases, the tooth will have partially grown through the gum, but not entirely, which would eventually lead to soreness and a buildup of bacteria. In other cases the tooth may not have penetrated the gum at all, but maybe growing sideways inside the jaw. In the event of this, the dentist has to drill deeper and the socket will be larger; so you can expect your wisdom teeth recovery to take somewhat longer.

Providing there were no complications with your surgery, you will probably find you are up and about and able to carry on your everyday tasks within about 48 to 60 hours. You will have to take care about your diet in the days after surgery and make sure you only consume soft foods that cannot get stuck in the tooth socket.
