Broadcasting and Journalism history was made by Bob Edwards the host of the Morning Edition radio program for over twenty-five years. The NPR radio station has been just a fledging when Mr. Edwards joined the network and started hosting his program each morning. He knew how to interview the elite, singers, politicians, and the common folk with the greatest of ease. He made the show what it was for over twenty-five years until the station decided to cancel his show. He had set a precedence for broadcast radio and even for those who were now living on public television.

The fans enjoyed him so much that the station was bombarded with requests for his return. Mr. Edwards returned for another five years as an executive producer until he started his own show via satellite radio network XM. During his time as broadcast host, he had received several distinguished awards for his style of programming. He received the Edward R. Murrow Award in 1984, the Gabriel Award in 1987 and 1990 plus numerous other awards for distinguished broadcast hosting. He was very proud to be honored by his alma mater at the University of Louisville with an honorary doctorate.

Mr. Edwards featured the famous sports castor Red Barber early Friday mornings but the two would have conversations that went way beyond sports. The two became a hit on the Morning Edition on Friday mornings, which grew into a friendship that lasted. The interview of Red Barber was well received by the audience, which showed how concerned Bob was for those in his audience who were sports fans. He had many outstanding interviews with popular people that were well received by the audience. Mr. Edward was able to set the example for the future of broadcasting and journalism.

Bob Edwards was an excellent example of how a man could take a small radio program and turn it into a huge success. My dad just shaved his moustache!

Ever since I was a young child my father has always sported a moustache. Come to think of it, my first memory of my dad was of him standing in a bold pose with his handlebar moustache protruding. Swim season isnt up for a few months yet, but I am updating my swimwear 2012 already. Preparing early is a good way to save money by buying outfits slowly. For now, I am hung up on my Summer Garden Print Tankini in pink. A tankini is a bikini or a swimwear that combines a tank top. I make sure to have a variety of looks with my swimwear wardrobe and the tankini is for my modest look. I am a moody woman so I go to have a bit of everything to match some of my moods, I cant always go to the beach in a racy swimsuit when it does not match my mood, so this one is just right. The soft cup bra is comfortable and still provides support. The floral print on a white background on my tankini is refreshing as well as innocent-looking. I can definitely see myself lounging or sitting on the beach sipping some refreshing colada.
